Link Plauche

Link Walker Plauche, age 3 of Goudeau, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

Link brought so much joy and laughter to his family, and all that knew him. He was a ball of energy. He was sweet and tender, a cuddly baby & toddler, would put his head on your shoulder, and give sweet kisses to only a few.

He loved to pick, play, & wind people up for a reaction. His smile would light up the room. His precious, long-lashed brown eyes would gleam and his nose would wrinkle, as he would smile with his whole face. Since a baby, he closed his left eye when smiling, and that, along with his precious baby lisp, is how he got his nickname, Winky. And boy, did he love to smile and wink.

Everyday his life was filled with love, to and from his large family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and mostly his great big sissy, Scarlett. He was a Mama’s boy and Daddy’s boy.

A lover of any candy, cookies, or snack, but especially chocolate. He really loved to help cook. He was so thankful for everything. A baby with a heart for Jesus, he even thanked God for convenient store snacks. Link understood forgiveness. He always gave forgiveness and was quick to say sorry. Link enjoyed his first time at VBS and was playing T-ball.

Link loved trucks, tractors, construction equipment, & sharks. He loved to perform motorcycle tricks, using his Sissy's pink bicycle. If you saw him wearing a neon orange beanie, you had better be ready to watch his motorcycle tricks.

A true outdoorsman, like his Daddy, Link spent a lot of time prepping & planning hunting & fishing trips, and caring for all of God's creatures. Link loved to identify dinosaurs, and he had an impressive knowledge on types of ducks. His favorites were pintails and mallards.
He loved all animals, especially his puppies. He loved to feed and fatten up his oversized Dachshund, Oakley. He loved bucking bulls, and always “practiced” rodeoing. A cowboy and an expert goat wrangler; Link loved getting dirty, chasing frogs and playing with live crawfish.
He was so brave, and tried everything. Even if he was a little scared, he dared himself to go beyond.

Link loved Spidey Man, and always said he would be a Superhero, and he was right! His heroism to others is recognized through the gift of organ donation through LOPA. We are so thankful for the support and love we have received in this organization. In the chaos of not understanding why we must endure this heartbreak, we are thankful for this organization to help us in giving us reasons to understand our questions and some of our “why”s. In our grief, we stand firm in our faith in God, and we are so thankful for three perfect years with such a perfect boy.

Link, you are our hero. Thank you for being such a loving, brave boy. Forever and ever in our hearts, Long live Link Walker Plauche.
