Carl Bourque

Dear Recipient,

I’m honored that you have received a part of my dear husband.

Carl was a great and honorable man who loved serving his community. He served in the Louisiana National Guard for seven years, was fire chief of the local volunteer fire department, and was once voted Volunteer of the Year at a local battered women’s shelter after spending a few weekends building a playground for the children. He loved animals and enjoyed his farm life. He had a passion for trail rides and was the president of a trail ride club. He hosted two rides per year and raised money for local charities. He had a love for 8 and 9 ball pool, a game which took him to Las Vegas three times playing in the APA National Finals. He was an awesome father to three children, an even more awesome grandfather to three grandchildren.

We had a love like no other and we were married for 25 years. He is greatly missed by us all. When asked about donating his tissues it was an easy decision, he was the most giving man I’ve ever met. Here’s to hoping what you received from him gives you everything you need for as long as you need it.

Sara ~ Widow of Carl, tissue donor.
