Walker Johnson

I am the mother of donor angel, Walker Johnson, who passed away on 7/23/25. It is with sadness & an overwhelming amount of pride for our tiny hero’s legacy, I write this story.

During our darkest hours, we knew immediately that we never wanted another parent or family to experience this devastating feeling. That feeling came with an urgency to do something good. Considering all the heartache we felt, we knew we must do something honorable for our son.

My husband, Miles & I agreed to organ donation without hesitation. We knew there was someone whose life depended on that decision. That “someone” has parents who love them, parents who would do anything if they could “just fix this” for their child. Although it may seem so selfless to others, our sweet boy no longer needed these organs, but someone did. So we gave it, with tears in our eyes, brokenness inside of us, we gave what he no longer needed.

Our son, was a 2 year old boys’ boy with a passion for all things ball, baseball especially. He would hit the ball off the tee then run and slide to score. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers and dirt-bikes with his 3 siblings who would do anything he wanted 100% of the time. It was his world, we all just lived in it. He was our light on any given day, with his know it all attitude and his perfectly crafted precious face. He loved with intent! Little man was happy, every day, to wake up (on his own time) to a house full of love. As a family of 6, he left behind a mommy, daddy, bubba, sissy, and Yaiya. We find great comfort in knowing that his love and spirit continues to live on!

Walker Miles Johnson will always be our perfect angel boy, who God used to serve him long before we were ready. We are comforted by the fact that he now rests in the arms of our Savior in eternal peace.

Gone from this world but never forgotten, and always in our hearts.
