Shannon Langley

My daughter was only 19 years old when I got the phone call that all parents dread. My daughter overdosed on fentanyl and when I got to the hospital she was hooked up to all kinds of machines. A nurse asked me about organ donation and at first, I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

But then a gush of wind blew through me because my daughter was the type to always help in anyway she could.

She would give the shirt off her back if you needed one. So I told the nurse that my Shannon has had this conversation before, and she was a organ donor. I tell you the manner of how everything was handled, I couldn't ask for better people.

So on 09-19-2023 my daughter left me in this world and got her wings. She now flies high and the memory that I have of that tragic day has been filled with these great memories. I want to thank the team that cared for my daughter on that day at Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles. While I can't remember names, I will never forget the love and respect that you showed my daughter that day.
