Our AMAZING, BRILLIANT, CONFIDENT, INTENTIONAL, GOD LOVING SON was tragically shot hours after his high school graduation here in New Orleans, Louisiana. He would pass from his wounds 3 days later, unfortunately. WORST PAIN EVER OF OUR LIVES!!
My Son was such an amazing human who knew his PURPOSE early in life and moved with INTENTION!!! To know him was to love him. He was my PEACE!! Ferdinand aka FERD aka Dohead always had a sense of calmness to him. FERD would walk in a room and I promise you, you’d pay attention to him and he would be just chilling, as he would say. His NATURAL AURA would draw you in instantly, all 3 of my kids have that.
My Son had a FULL RIDE SCHOLARSHIP TO LSU SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING and OVER 6 Million in scholarships and we’re still getting scholarship offers for him. Our Son was a light in any darkness, he had a quality that was so special and appreciated! At an early age he had his own personality and knew how to express himself. The untimely death of our Son has shaken our ENTIRE FAMILY AND FRIENDS!! This was an AMAZING NECESSITY OF A HUMAN ON EARTH!!! Ferdinand was NEEDED in this world and they stole our Gift from us by taking such a needed life away from us. Our Son was an inspiration to his peers as well as his teachers. He inspired so many of his peers to do better and strive for excellence by believing in them when no one else would.
Our Son was ALL HEART!!! He let his HEART be his guide and his legacy will live on FOREVER THROUGH US!!! We raised our children to love and appreciate people for who they are, and to not look for them in people!! FERD was A TRUE WORK OF ART FROM GOD THAT ARRIVED THROUGH ME AND FOR THAT I WILL ALWAYS BE PROUD TO BE HIS MOM AND HIS DAD WILL ALWAYS BE PROUD AS WELL!! I could write a book on how amazing FERD was/is because he lives on!! My Son is my youngest Gift and I’m FOREVER PROUD TO CALL HIM MINE!!!
It’s so much I have to say about my baby, but my tears are fogging up my glasses as I type this. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with and those who stole my gift will be brought to justice!!! FERD is a HERO to his peers in more ways than one!! His friends are all enrolled in Colleges/Universities all across America and they’re representing FERD in everything they do!! FERD LIVES THROUGH US ALL IN SOME WAY!!
