Dexter Landry

Husband, father, son, pop pop, friend-
He gave freely, loved deeply,
and had a gift for turning ordinary days
into stories worth retelling.
He found joy in lifting others—
through kindness, comfort,
or a perfectly timed joke.
He never hesitated to help—
anyone, anytime, anywhere.

When we first started as a blended family of 8 nearly 13 yrs ago, we were on an outing with the kids and the tire on the truck went flat. A stranger offered us a ride to the tire store, waited with us, and brought us back to the vehicle to help install the tire. The stranger did this having only one request…to continue to share the act of kindness. From that day forward, Dexter extended the same kindness to anyone who needed it. We had been blessed many times after and even to the day of his passing he continued to pay it forward.

Dexter is a hero in many stories of family, friends and strangers. He will continue to be a hero in another’s life by donation. Though we ache, there is great pride in his selfless act.
