Quilt Row 4-Square 5-Paul

Row 4

Square 5

Baby Paul was a simple man that loved the mother earth and father sky.  He was very proud to be a Native American Indian.  Out of our culture he was most impressed with the peace pipe and eagle.

“Four Horns” who is active in sweabath ministry refers to the four races of men. Black, red, yellow, and white and the four winds.  The Indians surround themselves with flags, “To me the organ donor quilt” of different colors reminding them of the major spirits of the pipe.  Christians surround themselves with the cross, bible and statues of saints.  The medicine man is the last one to smoke the peace pipe.  This is seen as spiritual with all that was sacred at the meeting.  Our belief is you must respect the pipe and pray with good intentions and your prayers will be answered.  The pipe stone has a series of seven circles carved on it, these represent the pipes seven rights which would be revealed in dreams and visions among the people.  The pipe is given to one worthy person.  The first pipe keeper was “Standing Bull” a chief of the clan called Without Bows.  The current keeper of the pipe is a young man named “Orville Looking Horse”. The four corners of the square are the four angles standing at the four corners of the earth.

The red in my heart represents the blood that Jesus shed for us so we could be free from sin and the blood my son lost during his fight to enter God’s Kingdom.  The white symbolizes the purity of where my only son is now, and thanksgiving.

Duck hunting was baby Paul’s favorite sport  He never killed more than we could eat and always shared his kill with our family and neighbors.  Baby Paul loved the eagle for many reasons, his strength.  He felt the eagle could fly highest to our Holy Spirit and being a living thing.

Baby Paul was so very proud of generations back to share the name of Chay.  He was proud to be part Chay and had plans to name his business Chay Co.

In loving memory of my son and thank dear God for sharing his life with us for 26 years and for letting us make the right choice – the right choice was to make Baby Paul an organ donor and we pray every night and day for the recipients that they are doing well.

In all our hearts that knew Baby Paul, we know where you are and know how loved and missed you are on earth.  All our love until we see you again.

Paul wrote to the Ephesians:

That in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lush of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new shelf, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
