METAIRIE, La.— Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA), Ochsner Clinic Foundation Multi-Organ Transplant Center, Tulane Center for Abdominal Transplant, and Transplant Institute of New Orleans received special awards for maintaining the care of organ donors, donor families and recipients in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Dr. Jim Burdick, director of the Division of Transplantation for the Health Resources and Services Administration, announced the award at a celebratory dinner, closing the 2nd Annual National Learning Congress held October 19 in New Orleans.
