Understanding Tissue Donation
Tissue donation occurs after organ donation or after cardiac death. The recovered tissues are used in the transplantation of heart valves, bone, veins, skin and soft connective tissues, such as tendons and ligaments that can restore thousands of people to active and productive lives.
